Founded in Wausau, Wisconsin in 1953, Wausau Tile Inc. is a preeminent manufacturer of architectural concrete, terrazzo and metal products. Between their sub-brands Tectura Designs and Wausau Made, the company offers custom precast concrete, site furnishings, architectural pavers, precast terrazzo, and terrazzo tile and slabs for commercial spaces.
At the start of 2017, the Tectura Designs brand was ready for a redesign and reconfiguration of their five product division catalogs. The project spanned three months – requiring a full audit of brand assets. Working closely with account managers and the client, I developed a consistent system that was applied across the divisions. Each catalog contained: a table of contents with a high-level introduction to the Tectura Brand, a historical spread highlighting their 60 years of quality and innovation in the industry, an introductory spread to the specific product division, two project spotlight spreads, and hardworking spreads that either highlighted subcategories or series. Patterns, system equipment, and swatches were also considerations dependent on the particular division catalog.
